What is the PawShield Boot Cargo Mat?
The Stashwell™ PawShield Boot Cargo Mat is a waterproof liner that covers the boot floor and runs up the sides, so mud, hair and wet paws land on something you can hose off instead of soaking into your boot carpet.
Will it fit my boot?
It measures 155 x 104 x 33cm, which covers the floor and runs partway up the sides and the back of the rear seats. It suits most SUVs and wagons.
Will it slide around with a dog on it?
No. The backing is non-slip, so it stays where you laid it even with a dog shifting about on top. It isn't clipped or fixed, so you can lift it straight out when you need the boot for something else.
What's it made from?
600D Oxford cloth with a waterproof backing — heavy enough to take claws without tearing, and soft enough that a dog will actually settle on it. Waterproof means it resists water, not that it can be submerged.
Is it only for dogs?
No. It works just as well under wet camping gear, a muddy mountain bike, pot plants from the nursery or anything else you'd rather not put straight onto the carpet. The dog is just the most common reason people buy one.
How do I clean it?
Shake it out, then hose it off outside and hang it to dry. Don't put it back in the boot wet. For hair, a rubber brush or a damp cloth lifts it better than a vacuum does. Don't machine wash it.
