What is the SealTidy Waterproof Car Bin ?
The Stashwell™ SealTidy Waterproof Car Bin is a 5-litre lidded bin for the car. It measures 25 x 16 x 16cm, weighs around 310g, and has a waterproof lining so nothing leaks through onto your seat or carpet.
Where does it sit?
In a footwell, against a seat, in the boot or behind a console — anywhere flat. At 25cm tall and 16cm across it fits a standard rear footwell without blocking anyone's feet.
Does it tip over?
Not when there's anything in it. The weighted base keeps it upright through normal driving. Empty and on a hard corner, anything light will move — that's true of every car bin.
Is the lid any good, or is it just for show?
The lid is the point. It keeps the smell in and stops wrappers blowing around when the windows are down, which is what separates this from a plastic bag hanging off the gearstick.
Can I put wet rubbish in it?
Yes. The lining is waterproof and insulated, so takeaway cups, melted ice blocks and wet wipes don't leak through. Empty it the same day rather than leaving it — waterproof holds liquid in, it doesn't make the smell go away.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the lining out with a damp cloth and let it air with the lid off. It takes a standard small bin liner if you'd rather not wipe it out at all. Don't machine wash it.
